The EKI-7700 series offers smart PoE management and PoE/PoE+/PoE++ (400 W) capabilities, as well as a fiber combination option. In addition to the features you expect in a fully managed switch, it offers a rugged design that minimizes downtime and maximizes productivity in harsh environments, along with robust management capabilities that promote a reliable networking structure. These include the ability to remotely reboot cameras, prioritize reports and allocate power budgets by port.
Additionally, these switches offer the ability to monitor power usage of the end device (power, amp and voltage usage). After establishing a minimum/maximum threshold, the switch will reboot the device automatically if limits are exceeded. After 10 reboots, the switch will deactivate the port and send an alert by email, syslog, SMS message or SNMP trap.
