This position works with the sales team, partners and customers throughout the sales process. A product evangelist and the technical liaison to resolve customer issues and proactively identify potential problem areas. You will work collaboratively with customers and partners to identify requirements and propose solutions. You will develop training material, provide technical training and work closely with Product Management to provide voice-of-customer feedback into our product development teams. You will be based out of our Ottawa, IL office or close to a major airport.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers and partners to identify effective solutions for sales opportunities via phone, email and on-site visits
  • Be a product and technology expert and evangelist in layer 2 and 3 networking topologies and protocols
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Product Management, Technical Support and partners to advance the sales process and resolve customer issues
  • Develop and present technical content and training to end customers, partners and internal teams
  • Travel within the Americas territory as required, including travel to Latin America
  • Gather customer requirements and collaborate with engineering and eco system partners on applications development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology and 3-5 years relevant experience, or suitable combination
  • Must have strong, hands-on experience with layer 2 and layer 3 networking principles, topologies and protocols
  • Experience with Fiber Optic Networks
  • Knowledge of PoE, PoE+ and their applications a plus
  • Beneficial to have experience with Wi-Fi and Cellular systems
  • Experience with routing, VPN and security protocols
  • Knowledge of MEF Carrier Ethernet
  • CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, CCEP MEF2.0, or other relevant industry qualifications a plus
  • Excellent communications, teamwork and presentation skills
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred
