B+B SmartWorx Expands its eWorx Industrial Ethernet Switch Product Line with the Price Optimized SE200 Series of Unmanaged Switches

Ottawa, IL – October 4, 2016 – B+B SmartWorx, powered by Advantech, today announced that it has expanded its eWorx line of industrial switches with the SE200 series of unmanaged switches.  Designed to provide features typically only found in higher priced switches, the SE200 includes an industrial grade metal enclosure, dual power inputs, dual mounting options (included in the box), wide temperature specs and industrial certifications.  Aggressively priced below similar competing switches, the SE200 series is positioned to expand the full eWorx “Smart Switches” product line and capture increasing market share in this competitive category.

The eWorx SE200 unmanaged Ethernet switches are cost-effective, plug and play switches designed for use in demanding industrial environments. Their robust, IP30 rated metal enclosure stands up to challenging industrial applications while providing efficient heat dissipation. Available in copper models with 5 or 8 Fast Ethernet ports with Auto MDI/MDI-X, or fiber models with copper and fiber interfaces for either Single-mode or Multi-mode fiber.  SE200 offers standard 10/100Mbps speed for twisted pair ports as well as 100Mbps for the fiber optic connections.  Store and forward technology, as well as MDI/MDIX auto sensing ensure connectivity on the copper ports. Status LEDs indicate active link, speed and collision status.

Dual power is a standard, extra value feature in all SE200 models with a 12-48 VDC redundant input design secured by a double protection mechanism for Polarity Reverse and Overload Protection. Polarity Reverse prevents damage to the switch in the event of incorrect power wiring. Overload Protection is a resettable fuse that prevents power overloads from causing damage to the switch – when normal power is resumed the switch will restart automatically.

The SE200 series of Industrial Unmanaged switches join the SE300 monitored switches and SE500 Managed Switches in the current eWorx product line.
