Customer Service Representative:

Founded in 1981, B+B SmartWorx powered by Advantech, formerly B&B Electronics, provides intelligent M2M and IoT connectivity solutions for wireless and wired networks. We design and build device connectivity and network infrastructure products that deliver intelligent connectivity at the “edge” of networks in remote and demanding environments.

We’re looking for a Customer Service Representative that can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to get the job done with a positive, professional approach. You’ll be helping current and potential customers by answering service questions or directing them to the correct technical department; processing orders and billing; fulfilling customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction; and building customer relationships.

Customer Service Representative Job Duties:

  • Manage large amounts of incoming customer telephone calls, emails and faxes
  • Identify, assess and troubleshoot customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Process sales orders, price quotations, invoices, purchase orders, credit/debit memos
  • Answer questions about warranties or terms of sale
  • Handle customer complaints and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
  • Support Channel and Inside Sales teams
  • Support CSR colleagues as necessary
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open communication with current and potential customers
  • Handle changes in policies or renewals

Customer Service Representative Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven customer support experience or previous customer services/call center roles are a plus
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to familiarize yourself with the large breadth of product offerings
  • Strong phone handling skills and active listening
  • Communicate with other departments and management to resolve problems and expedite work
  • High school diploma or equivalent
